Begbroke Community Orchard

Please see the tab on the left for a plan of what trees are planted where.

One year on........ Sunday October 20th, from 12 o'clock. Come along to mark a year since the orchard was established. Coinciding with national 'Apple Day', we are having a celebratory meeting. Exactly what's on offer to be decided, but the bar will be open, with an extended range of ciders on offer. There will be apple crushing, so bring some apples and a container. We hope to see many of you there.

The orchard can be found adjacent to the Village Hall, off Begbroke Lane, in the NW corner of the playing field. It was planted in November 2018, and consists of 40 apple, pear and quince trees. These are all local and heritage varieties. Visitors are welcome. An information board on-site gives more details about the orchard environment and its aims.
